Same situation here (sick kid and adult, adult is vaccinated). Low fever, congestion, sore throat. Got a PCR test for the kid on Saturday. Negative. There are still plenty of good old rhinoviruses going around.

DS is 4 and other DS is 2.

I am five weeks out from my second shot.

Try same day testing.

Definitely get tested. I’m hearing more and more vaccinated people who test positive for covid. Luckily all are mild cases!

Your husband also should not go to work physically tomorrow.

You can still get COVID. Yes, you get tested and don't spread what ever you have.

You should get tested. The good news is since you have had the vaccination, you won't likely give it to anyone. Assuming your child isn't old enough for the vax, I'm guessing they brought it home, you got it - though mild symptoms due to your vax. Pfizer doesn't make you asymptomatic, just drastically reduces symptoms and morbidity.

Were you just hitting two weeks after your second shot or you're 4 weeks out and you've been fully vaxxed for two weeks?

Ummm if you are having symptoms, then you were probably exposed 3-5 days ago when you were not immune. Please quarantine until you can get a pcr test.

Don’t go to work or school. Get yourselves tested. The vaccine doesn’t prevent you from ever getting Covid. It makes it so you might get a mild case. You may have it.

I've been fully vaxxed (Pfizer) for 2 weeks. DS4 woke up today with a low fever and nausea. Now I have a low fever and chest tightness.

2 questions:
1.This could be something else other than COVID, right? DH has 2 weeks until full vaccination.

2. For purposes of staying home from work and school, DS and I should stay home tomorrow, right? Or since they are low fevers, not over 100 degrees, can we go in if we are feeling okay tomorrow?

Thanks!
