NP here. I felt awful about three days after the first shot, and that lasted for about five days. It was disconcerting. Then I was completely fine with the second shot.

OP here. Sorry but literally everyone I know told me I will feel nothing with the first, or minimal. 48hrs later and I actually am feeling much much worse I’m not overly worried but I do seem to be an outlier

Not first, but second, yes.

I expect to feel that way after my second Moderna shot. The first one made me very sleepy the next day.

This is more common with Moderna

Helpful to hear someone else experienced this after first, I feel like no one I know has had a bad reaction to first. Especially lasting more than 2 days

I know a few people who had reactions to the first shot, a few who had reactions to the second, and a bunch of people who had no symptoms. Anecdotally, most of the ones who reacted to the first shot had covid relatively recently.

Your immune system is doing its job. It’s a good thing!

That happened to me for second shot. Days 2-4 had really swollen lymph nodes.

Second shot is far far worse. Feel better.

Yes, that's how the side effects work. It might be a bit rough for a couple days but you'll get through it.

I feel really awful. Anyone experienced this for so long after the first shot? Everyone told me the first one would be no biggie, and I actually feel worse today than I have since I got it on Thursday. I’ve had my Tcell tested and no trace of Covid so can’t imagine I’ve had a prior infection.

Elevated temp, insomnia, body aches just started, headache, upset stomach.
Anyone with encouragement?
