Boys or girls side?

Some from both.

We aren't club hoppers. Two clubs in 6 years (3 years each). And coaches have said if we ever wanted to come back-door was always open.

This is 100% accurate and one of the reasons why we left our first club a few years ago - to focus on a more rigorous technical development training program. Left on good terms and would consider moving back at some point.

My kids have gone back and forth to another Club with zero issues. The coaches like them and they are always happy to see them. Different scheduling issues have been the reason.

Same. My kid left at 9 and I was surprised they still knew who he was when he came back as a teen. They were happy to see him.

It depends on how you leave. If you flame away on the way out, you won't be welcomed back. On the other extreme, military kids who move away are going to be embraced if they return.

Done it twice (two different kids), no issues. If your kid is good enough and you are not perceived as a difficult parent, the club always will be happy to have them regardless - unless you left on bad terms and “burned the bridge” (which we did not).

A lot left LMVSC for SYC but several have returned.

We always maintained good relationships with former coaches. In fact, my kid's U9 coach (he's now U16) still trains my son. He left the Club at U11 after playing 2 years for him. My kids have played futsal and attended camps run by other Clubs. No animosity. My kids have friends that play for teams all over the DMV so they generally know someone wherever they are---and the coaches too.

Have not and would not unless the coach returns. Exes are exes for a reason.

Similar. None of the parents, coaches or kids are the same from when we left.

How many kids have returned to a club after leaving for another club for a few years? what is the reception like from both club and parents ?
