About two weeks ago, I reported this sort of thing to the FBI. I have tons of evidence, including unbelievably scary screen shots of texts. I haven't even gotten a call back or a request for my evidence. It's really discouraging. I'm not trying to discourage you from reporting, just sharing.
You can always call again to confirm that they have taken your information. Rest assured, it's not going to be ignored, but it might take a long time for them to get to it. So in the meantime, you have to call the local police as well, and if need be, the school or other organization the frauder might claim to be affiliated with.
