Subject: ECNL Team Fees
How does that really vary from 6-10?!
If your player doesn’t go to any showcases or they do but you use free airline miles, or always rely on other parents to assist its doable for less, but do the basic budget.
Is driving to Florida, Colorado, or California gonna be cheaper than flying or traveling to play in NC and NJ, probably. Can you pack a lunch/dinner, not a problem. Depends on what and how you plan for the trips.
But also dont discount the overnight related costs for regular league games.

No, that’s is a accurate out the door price for ECNL or GA during a normal year including league and showcase travel as well as extra showcases like Jeff Cup etc.
I think this varies between clubs. In several years I have never paid this much. I would suggest that the OP asks the clubs he is interested in what he should expect as I think they do differ in their approach.

One year, almost all the parents wanted to lose the last game of the season because a win meant we all had to head out to California to. Of course that was a secret from the kids. The travel burden can make for some perverse incentives unless money is no object for your family.

At MYS, a couple of families go in on a netjets account. Around $50-65k per year or half that per season. Better than driving down 95 in traffic

The league is really designed for families with lots of disposable income. Some conferences are better designed for a lower travel burden than others but the far flung events that require plane travel and hotels and rental cars kill any hope of spending a reasonable amount on kid soccer.
If your player is really intent in it and you can't afford it, try to join a team on the later side and then maybe be" injured" for some of the really expensive events.

So far this year $3K in total for us. Then add $1,000 for every driveable post season tournament you reach, more if you have to fly. How close in age/sex are your kids? You may well be able to double dip on hotels if they're playing in the same events.
Our club has always allowed players to opt out of tournaments if too much $.
^ That $3K included showcases (we did local ones) and Jeff cup (we drove each day rather than stay in a hotel). Some clubs will spend more, but my DS' club definitely tries to keep the cost down.

Outside of the basic fees that dont include the uniforms, bags, cool weather joggers, you have 3 showcases for flights, lodging, food, rentals, activities for at least 2 people?
Thats about $1500 a trip for 2.
Then the overnights and car/bus trips for league.

Counting travel, especially if YOU actually want to go too when your U13-U17 goes to National/far away events, it's not far off the mark.
At loudoun we have to also pay for the coaches travel, stipend and diets
