Maximum of two teams per age group.

Wrong for BSC. Currently 3-4 at u8-u11.

Potomac typvially has one or two. In the fall they did not have enough for u9 but supposedly have a team now.

You're going to get a lot of varied answers. None are right or wrong. There's also a huge difference from 6 to 10. At six your options are more limited if you want something advanced; by 10 the options grow and involve real games/teams. I'd also let geography guide you. PPA is either in or very close to DC. They are a fine program at the young ages but I would not drive there unless you live in nearby Chevy Chase/Bethesda. I would do one of the others.

What’s the mix of coaching & drills versus little scrimmages?

Which club are you referring to?

Any would be helpful so can assess the MoCo lists above.

I have one technical drill kid and one Get Out there and run 5 miles kid, who’s younger.

I think you should probably contact the local clubs and attend practices and games. See what the clubs are doing. Once you go to a couple of them, you'll get a better idea of what you like and don't like.

Bethesda is probably for the more serious player. But just because you start with one club, doesn't mean you can't move at older age groups. Most clubs will do scrimmages and drills at practice. It should be about having fun while learning.

Looking for development and camaraderie, both our kids have played Dev elsewhere since little but are ready for more frequency.

We are with bsc and the coaching is top notch. They really focus on ball skills immediately, even at 6 years old. Mental health wise, the girls side may be tougher than the boys (some girls parents are a little )

I guess it depends on the talent of the child and ultimate goal. There is a Big bsc thread from a couple weeks ago discussing the girls side.

The other clubs listed do not apprear on this forum alot but you can search. I would surmise they are a little more chill. Not sure how competitive their coaching will have your dd compared to the intense dmv soccer scene. Again, depends on your goals.

My children range from very athletic and skilled to just needing a consistent workout. Ultimate goal would be to do both bsc and msi rec if I had the time to do so or if they did not conflict on weekends.

Ppa/msi classic
? Do girls play sam select
Msi rec

Yes there are variations to this. We all know bsc has lower teams whose level may be considered rec with professional coaches. Just trying to give OP a loose guide. I do not know any other girls teams. Possibly Juventus that had a huge thread ( my ds friend played for them at u8 and he was very talneted FWIW) .

I agree but like to modify it a little:

BSC
Potomac
MSI Academy
PPA/MSI Classic/SAM Select
MSI Rec

There are many options depending on the level of soccer you’re looking for: Recreation, Select or Travel soccer.

There are big clubs: MSI, BSC, Potomac and a few more depending where in MoCo you live.
