Have your sister and family fly here instead (you can help with the cost if you want). She and her husband can get vaccinated while they are here. Agree with everyone that there is very low risk to the children flying who are unvaccinated.

Yes, I would if there are no issues going in and out of the country. I would love to see my parents in Asia but they have a very strict 14-day quarantine rule and a complicated application process for foreigners (my husbands and kids). If there are no immigration complications/issues, I would definitely visit my family even if my kids are not vaccinated.

Yes, I would. I plan to fly with my kids out west. I think flying is pretty safe with all the precautions in place.

The kids would not be vaccinated. They are still carriers and could pose a risk to their other non-vaccinated relatives/kids.



Kids transmit the virus at about half the rate that adults do. With testing and quarantine, how are they posing a major risk?

You can definitely go to the UK unvaccinated if you adhere to quarantine and testing regulations. I've been once and my DD who is a UK student has been twice since the start of COVID.

No. I get that COVID is low risk for kids, but it looks like there will also be a vaccine available by fall/winter. I don't think it's worth the risk either for your kid or whoever your kid could bring it back to when a vaccine right around the corner.

I'm with Emily Oster on this one. Your unvaccinated kids are at a lower risk than they are during flu season (even if they get the flu shot every year). If you'd fly during flu season, you can fly with unvaccinated kids.
