Why would you need a notary?

CFA billed me thousands of $$ (paid in advance) for things that turned out to be covered by my insurance. Took me months to get a refund, after escalating to upper management. Their billing department is a sh*tshow of incompetence, but I ended up with twins, so it was worth it.

I did not need a notary. I will say I thought their billing dept was the weak link - pushy and kind of cheesey. Still I was successful and so glad I didn’t leave over their billing. Good luck

I am bringing this post back up. CFA won't let you start until you pay in full. Insurance doesn't cover. Should I just pay in full next time I'm in the office? Like the OP, I am asking if you need a notary.

I cycled in 2019. I recall paying upfront for an amount that would have covered the procedure without PGS (testing itself is paid to the provider that does the analysis but there is a charge for the biopsy). Later in the cycle or just before the egg retrieval, we paid the balance.

I had insurance coverage but they had me pay my deductible before they could order meds or start anything else. I’m not sure about paying in full.

Thanks so muc. Are you paying everything at once?

Which office are you at? I’m at the DC office and I asked to speak with someone right after my sonogram appointment. You could probably go in without an appointment to speak to someone in finance (if you are already a patient).

For those of you who used CFA, can you walk me through the payment process? The staff hasn't been responsive. Our insurance doesn't cover IVF, so we are paying out of pocket. Can we just pay everything at once? Do we need a notary?
