The soft top can be bought aftermarket and with a metal drill very easy install.

The hard top with metal doors are expensive. Make sure you buy one with hardtop. The soft top is cheap to buy and a DIY install.

How easy. I did it in my wrangler myself. My Jeep was stolen with hardtop on. I sold it to someone who misunderstood it would be installed by me. I actually put it in the buyers Jeep in 45 minutes.

Except for the stupid touch button roof, all Jeeps can have hard, soft or no top.

You have court options - dual top - it means when your order a top you get both the soft and hard top, just the hard top or just the soft top or the sky touch roof.

I would get a 2020-21 - there is not a huge discount in used. The JL's came out mid 2018-2019 so they may have some bugs in it. We have a 2020 and really like it.

If you get just the hard top there are tons of after market options for soft tops and people sell them online.

The model really depends on what you are doing and what features you want. You are talking about the Wrangler model and the question is do you want a sport, Sahara or rubicon. (or the other ones which are based off the main three)

If you buy new, lots of dealers in this area have 8% off invoice.

Jeep newbie here. I've always discounted Jeeps, as I heard that the reliability stinks. But now I hear that some years/models are known for better reliability, and some years/model you need to avoid. Can anyone comment on this? Is it true, and if so, what are the "good years/models?

Also, does anybody have a Dual Top Jeep? I believe this means that they come with a hard top installed, but also have a soft top included, in case you want to switch out.

Or are ALL Jeeps dual top? Meaning, if you buy a hard top Jeep, can you purchase a soft top made for the same year/model, and switch out when you want to?

Thanks for any info about the above ^^, or any other Jeep thoughts. I am talking about the more "rugged" Jeeps, which I guess would be the Wrangler models.

I am open to both used and new Jeeps.
