We recently moved from inside beltway to western suburbs and might consider a change as we're afraid the drive is going to start to be crazy as people go back to work more. Social media keeps pronouncing that FCV is having ID sessions, but I can't find any detail other than some form to fill out. I want to know the where, when, and what age groups (have multiple kids) might ACTUALLY be considering players/what the coaching slate is going to look like.
The standard "FCV is amazing" or "FCV sucks" responses could be skipped. I've read all that and we're looking due to geography, not sucking or college placement -- neither are relevant to our family.
OP, what year is your DD?
Previous poster is correct - rolling tryouts for a lot of teams. My DD's team has had a lot of girls from other clubs showing up to train the past 3-4 weeks.
2009s had ID sessions as these girls are headed to GA (and a full field).
We have 2 DDs -- 07 and 10. What age group is your DD with lots of girls coming? Obviously I can look up a coach's email and ask to come (some other poster criticized for not doing that) but DDs would prefer to come to something formal if it existed. Or at least come when there are many other players also doing so, not just them. And I was asking about coaching slate since whomever is the coach this year may or may not be next year. So not even sure I'd be contacting the person who would be the coach for next year. I heard some coaches were leaving.

If your DD wants to play at the highest level then you have to try for ecnl which would be Loudoun. If all you care about is geography then pick whichever one is closest and most convenient and has girls in class with your DD.
Hi John OH. Posting from key west trying to do damage control. Interesting. Please don’t bring covid with you. hopefully we don’t have to report you to authorities if you’re seeing violating 14 day quarantine after coming from a covid hotbed like FL.
