Yeah, my kid wasn't ready to decide, but one of his choices was having a housing shortage. I offered to pay the $200 housing deposit so he could pick the residential college he liked even though he wasn't ready to put down an admission deposit (they allowed this).
In the end, he chose that school so it is a good thing I did this.
Dithering left another kid we know stuck miles away.
