My son was with Inoka from 6 months until kindergarten. She is an amazing loving caregiver. Visit and ask her.

The new center is bright, positive, and very clean. Highly recommend her. I imagine the one year contract is because last year with COVID some families stopped paying.

I randomly recently heard from another family at our daycare that they had a nanny for a while who had previously worked at C Care, and that nanny alleged that she had previously worked at C Care, and that the numbers of children they accepted were higher than their license and that they would use different parts of the home to care for different kids and that parents were restricted from accessing various parts of the house so as to conceal what was going on.

Now, I understand now that they moved to a building and are no longer in a house? And know of other families that rave about her and the facility. But, just share that as a potential precaution to keep in mind. Again, I heard it third or fourth hand basically, but, if it was my kid I would prefer to be aware of potential issues rather than not.

We were at Inoka’s home daycare (which she ran for 14 years before opening the center). Inoka is very experienced with babies, that wouldn’t give me pause for a moment. Cannot speak for the new center, but my kiddo received great care in her home.

I do not know the program but I would look at the environment in the infant room.. Are there toys in baskets on the floor for the babies to explore. Is there a soft rug on the floor? In VA infants require a 4:1 ratio up to 15 months/ 16=24 months are toddlers with a 5:1 ratio. How are they Combining those groups safely? I would also ask how they engage the young infants. Observe and make sure they are talking to them as they engage with them. Best of luck.

Does anyone have any experience with C Care on Glebe or the owner Inoka? We’re considering enrolling our 6 month old. Inoka seems great and we like their philosophy but some things give me pause - the one year commitment, the fact that the infant room is actually up to 24 months, etc. We live 5 minutes away and I get a good feeling about the place but I can tell they’re still establishing some things as a new center and also don’t seem as experienced with babies.
