We live in 22307 and plan to send our kids to Sandburg and WP. They’ll do fine wherever they go - we’ve supplied them with every advantage in life. By attending big, diverse public schools they will learn important life skills we can’t provide them. Just my two cents.

I live in this school pyramid and my kids are still years away from that stage but we are frequently listening for feedback about Sandburg and West Potomac because we are nervous about it. Honestly, I’ve heard worse things about the middle school than the high school but somehow the vast majority of families seem to send their kids through fine, albeit with varying experiences of mediocre to good to not OK. We having been looking to move into the Hayfield or Edison pyramids but so far with this market, no luck.

Just go a click further south and get in the South County pyramid. Families are a bit ore conservative due to Belvoir and you shake off a lot of the redneck around Waynewood

If you like the area you can get a house for $100k less in fort hunt/Stratford landing school district which is still 22308. It is a super family friendly area. I would say it’s like going back in time, kids biking and running around together, parents aren’t super helicopter-y and people tend to be really nice and helpful. Just my opinion.

I live in 22308 and yes houses are ridiculously priced right now! Selling faster than can be listed and much higher than asking. It’s insane out there right now!

I know, I know....another post about the home prices....but $1million for a split level in Waynewood! Wow. Finally calling it....I'm priced out of my target neighborhood. It feels like just yesterday these houses were $800k.
