Yes, if you go do this trip and the rules haven't changed, then your kids will miss the last week of school.

Does anyone know when DC updates its travel/quarantine policy? My kids' school requires that we attest that we are in compliance with the DC travel policy, and if not, kids have to stay home for 3-5 days then get a test before returning to school. Thinking ahead to Memorial Day, I wanted to visit my FIL in NJ - all adults are vaccinated, we won't go out to eat, kids don't see other kids. Per the current policy, we'd have to miss most of the the last week of school.

Seems DC doesn't update the travel policy often. Does anyone have insights into when they revisit/revise? This is the current one, from March 3:

DC Travel Requirements
The District Government issued updated travel requirements, effective March 3, 2021, for anyone traveling into Washington, DC. The testing requirement is waived if an individual has been fully vaccinated and does not have COVID-19 symptoms. The requirement is also waived for those who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 90 days and don't have symptoms.
