Is the American Girl "The Care and Keeping of You" book still the hot topic? I've heard really good things about it but would love other suggestions if you have them! Or reviews if you bought that book for your child.
Also, any recommendations for books for boys? I'm having less success in finding a good one.
Thank you!
I didn’t like it. I flipped through it in Barnes and Nobel and thought there was a lot of talk about weight that may not be applicable to all tween girls. For instance they have a lot of Q and A type write ins where girls are asking if they are fat, saying they feel fat and everyone else seems thin, just a lot of “am I fat, I want to be skinny” type stuff. They address is appropriately but that isn’t on my daughter’s radar and I don’t want her to get the idea that most teenage girls think of themselves as fat or wanting to be “thin”
