Dr. Sarajari and Dr. Waud at Dominion are great.

Dr Sarajari is nice but I felt didn’t bring anything different or innovative or tailored to the table.

I went to Dimattina and his bedside manner did not bother me. Billing at his office is hit or miss depending who your assigned contact is in billing. I actually had a frustrating experience with the Arlington office billing and escalated my complaint to the financial manager. I ended up with a different billing staff out of Bethesda who was amazing to work with. Lastly, I think Dr. DiMattina told me they have a special price for PGT with the lab they use (like it is discounted compared to other clinics perhaps?). I do not know the extent of what they offer in terms of specific gene testing, but my hunch is they are one of the bigger genetics companies.

One other thing I thought of re: dominion and pgt-m testing. They use a different company for pgt-m testing (and consequently pgt-a testing) — Igenomix — than they usually do for pgt-a testing only. So pgt-a testing is much more expensive than it would otherwise be because they haven’t worked out the same discount as with their usual pgt-a provider.

I was perfectly happy with the medical experience and him (wasn’t really put off by his bedside manner and got pregnant on the first transfer so that helps). I will most likely return to Dominion if we decide to have more children. But yes, the billing department was/is a HUGE pain in the butt. They mailed us a big bill because they kept forgetting to input my new insurance (after we’d already had one explicit conversation about resolving the issue)... took 4+ days of calling and emailing before they’d even reply and acknowledge the issue...I do get the impression from reading these forums that nobody is happy with their clinic’s billing department so I don’t know how avoidable that experience really is.

OP here. Thank you for your input! I’m happy to hear about your success. It’s frustrating to have to accept some components of incompetent service when you are investing so much in a company.

I’m preparing to schedule one or more consults with IVF clinics. I previously (2 years ago) consulted and tested with Dr. DiMattina at Dominion and Dr Reh at Shady Grove Arlington. We weren’t ready to pursue at the time. I’m looking for recent feedback on these clinics, or recommendations for other doctors/clinics in NOVA of which people have had solid experiences. Of course most important is medical care but smooth office and billing operations are also very important to me. I recently went through a horrible experience with an unrelated medical clinic and I am just not up for dealing with that right now.

Our reasons for IVF are to utilize PGT-M for single gene mutation- we have no other known fertility factors other than a lower than average AFC at the time of testing for me. I am 30 years old now. If you have any recommendations for me, I’d greatly appreciate it! I searched the forum but didn’t find anything recent on Dr. Reh or Shady Grove Arlington. I wasn’t a huge fan of Dr. DiMattina and found the dominion billing team not very clear but I am willing to try again.
