I had the same thing happen with my 8x10, OP. When I contacted Ruggable about it, they informed me that anything not bought through their website was counterfeit.

I bought mine from Wayfair. I have another one that I bought from Zulily. (It’s 4X6)

I don’t know why they think anyone would be so desperate to counterfeit their crappy overpriced rugs.

I have a 3x5 and two larger ones (4x6, I think?), and they’re great. Wash well and the edges don’t curl. Two are are in the entryway and I have a 60 pound dog that uses them as a launch pad, and they stay remarkably flat. I do have a round one under my kitchen table that is harder to place and the edges tend to curl if it’s not placed perfectly.

I think it really does depend on size, and perhaps they even vary by color?

I gave up on mine, which sucks because they’re expensive! Ended up getting a $150 rug online and now I just toss them if they get too gross after two or three years.

Runner is fine for me, but I can see how re-velcroing an area rug would be more difficult.

I hated it as soon as I opened the box. The Velcro backing is so yucky.

Same issue. After I washed it now it curls up and won’t stay down. Looks horrible and I ended up tossing it. I have another one in a room that we barely use and it still looks fine.

Huh. We have the 5x7 and did not have issues putting it down flat, but we haven’t washed it yet either.

I love mine. I have dogs and have washed it at least 10 times. It's 8x10. It's a bit of a process to put it back down but with 2 people it's totally doable in about 10 minutes. It's not always PERFECTLY unwrinkled but it looks fine and it's a nice rug. Also, the alternative would be to have a regular rug that would also look horrible or need to be replaced freqently.

I bought a runner from them and haven’t had any issues. The black pad beneath it goes nearly to the edges, so we haven’t had issues with it curling up. I have to switch my Dyson to the lower speed (not max) and have no issues vacuuming it. Maybe the larger size rugs are more finicky? But for a kitchen runner, I’ve found mine to be great.

I'm always a bit skeptical of companies that feel the need to market so hard, and I see Ruggable ads everywhere.

I bought a smaller version (3x5) about a year ago because my elderly dog was having some... unpleasant issues... but also having problems with traction on the hardwood floor. I'll give the ruggable this: it washed like a charm every time without fading and served that very specific purpose. But, the ends do curl and it is a PITA to get it smoothly down on the velcro mat. And vaccuming it is not good (it is easier to shake outside). I actually have a hard time figuring out how a bigger size would do well in a standard-sized washing machine, but I guess they do fine!

TL;DR: Dog poop washes out well.

I like mine, but different rugs, different experiences, I guess.

I haven’t washed mine yet because it was so freaking hard to set up. Agree that the product is not as great in real life.

Ruggable seemed like a perfect solution for a dining room rug. I had a messy 2 yr old and thought this was the best idea ever!

It looked so good when we put it down, and stayed that way until we washed it. The larger size (6x9) is impossible to perfectly put back on the grippy bottom part (even with 2 people) it wrinkles every time we vacuum it (often, with 2 kids) and the edges are curled on all sides. I tried steaming the edges, as suggested in videos, and it lasted one hour.

I contacted support and they offered me 15% off my next order. Ha. Save your money folks. This product is the worst. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing!
