Vienna, PAC and McLean are all solid clubs for player interested in starting in travel soccer. There may be benefits to moving to different clubs at older ages, depending on a player's drive.

Disagree. We had our pick and Vienna was best on the boys side. PAC does a fine job as well. McLean is a dumpster fire at younger ages on the boys side. I really don’t know how you can say any of the above if you know anything about these teams at these ages.

Like PP said, most tryouts are scrimmages, 4v4, 5v5, etc. they move the kids around on different fields to see how they play amongst different players. You’ll start to notice stronger players move to play each other.

Probably small-sided games and a few sprints at the end. They don't really run any drills during their tryouts.
