3 (but older sibling is 6). We live in a safe neighborhood and my kids have never been into wandering off. They stay in the backyard and I check on them a lot.

Older DD is 5. I'm finally ok with her playing alone in our fenced in yard while I run in the house for a bathroom break or to change infant DD's diaper, that sort of thing. We don't have a window with good visibility on our yard, so I'm not comfortable with leaving her out there by herself for more than a couple of minutes.
I'll admit, I'm a worrier. DH is the complete opposite.

My kids are 4.5 and 2, they are free to roam the fenced in yard. Our German shepherd is usually out there with them, and I can easily see everything.

We waited until three so I knew DS could navigate the deck steps well alone.

Out front where there is no fence - age 6.

Same. When mine were 2 and 3 I'd let them stay in the yard I can see from the kitchen window while I prepped a meal. Somewhere around 4-6 I stopped feeling the need to check in very frequently.

Depends on the setup of the backyard and the obedience of the kid. Prob between 2 and 5.

If you can see them, 4 or 5.

I was letting my 6-7 yo play in our fenced backyard while I couldn't see her, but we got a really high climbing structure so now I'm back to watching her through a window at least. I let her be out front alone briefly, like if I need to go to the bathroom.

Safe neighborhood with fenced in backyard. What age would you let your child be out there without you? Like if you needed to make dinner or do dishes.
