The coaches will be Mo Tayari and Clyde Watson. Does anyone know their coaching style?
I didn’t think Arlington announced their coaches yet.
But, Mo is aggressive and he plays a very direct style. He requires his players to be in tip top shape and often has them running sprints and doing push ups. He’s tough and often calls the player out when they aren’t playing their best. When my DD had him, she cried a lot at first. But she became a better player. He coached one team for 4 years or so, and some have committed to pretty good schools - Syracuse, William & Mary, Georgetown.
When he recently coached one of my DDs games, she definitely had comments about his style - lots of moving the ball forward, long balls, overall playing a very offensive/aggressive game. This is very different from her current coach and she was not impressed.
Yep Mo is not about the pass, possession or technical game. Let’s face it most parents are not either

It’s pretty straightforward(really just straightforward not pretty at all). If your kid is a technical player with a good soccer iq they may(or will) get frustrated at Arlington. The ball will be forced to one or two girls who quickly dribble into the defenders. At this point a wrestling match starts. Once the ball goes forward it is not passed back and rarely switches sides. If your kid is a straightforward type of player with size, speed and physicality she will have a place at Arlington.
Clyde likes size, speed and physicality but wants a higher technical skill base. McLean is more depend on accurate passing, ball movement and other technical skills. If your kid is more technical, passes well and has a good soccer iq Mclean could be a good match.
After that you have to deal with the different cultures. McLean has big rosters and kids get pushed down the roster when the season starts. They are pretty travel typical with bad communication. Arlington is better with the communication but has a weird country club aspect to it. Parents will treat you and your kids as new comers for a few years. Also many parents see their kids spot as guaranteed from u9.
Comparing the two ECNL(GA/DA)programs, Arlington replies more on athleticism and development is about strengthening/conditioning not really technical skill. You do that work(technical) outside practices but most do not because they are always at practice! Soccer practice will turn into fitness and strengthening workouts. Works well if you have a large pool of players. Problems happen when you play teams of like athleticism but better technical skills. Tends to favor results at the younger age groups.
McLean’s development is more about technical skill and outside players coming in. If you are not a technical player it can be challenging. It works well as long as the club can develop or have a consistent pipeline of skilled players. Tends to favor results at the older ages.
