OMG. Find something better to be outraged about.

Maybe police killings?
Maybe vaccine misinformation?
Heck, I'll even throw you overly woke lefties. Get some compassion woke folk!

These are just people picking up your trash. You owe them a little grace. And appreciation. Please don't call the manager.

And yes, as others have said, if it's important to you that they don't piss in your alley, your best option is to offer them your toilet.

I seriously can’t believe people are ridiculing the OP! This is completely unacceptable. There are ten billion options ranging from McDonalds to using a goddamn Gatorade bottle in the truck (my husband is military - this is what they did when deployed and out on patrol). I would definitely report this.

I wouldn’t like it and isn’t there a law about urinating/exposing themselves in a public place?

In other cites, city workers use public restrooms. Sometimes they carry keys for when the facilities are closed.

If crime in your city is so bad that you can't have public restrooms available to workers, then you need to vote for different people who have different policies.

What bathroom?

With that idiot Trump out of office and COVID-Stay-Home Scolding almost behind, the Karens have found a new cause.

Why complain here when there is a manager you can speak to.?

They take bagged trash out of the cans. If you're not bagging your trash, or leaving it outside of the cans, that's on you. The exception is recycling, which should not be bagged.

Sure Karen, pee on the alley is a "health hazard" during a pandemic. You sound like a right scientist.

You do know that probably no less than 20 dogs pee in your alley every day, right?

Actually, they are supposed to take it all. but the unions are fighting it because they want more money or something like that.

Not really my problem where they go. But public urination is a crime and punishable. so They need to follow the law like the rest of us.

Plus it is unsanitary and stinks, on top of being a health hazard during and outside of pandemics.

I don't know what their shifts look like but if they're out in those trucks for 4-5 hours at a time I'm not sure where they're supposed to pee. If they're using your alley repeatedly they've probably decided it's the most secluded place on their route. If they were taking a dump I'd report it but the city has a serious dearth of public restrooms that has only been made worse by the pandemic.

You're not supposed to put bags on the ground next to trash cans, and I'm not sure what "smaller dumped trash" means - bulk pickup items on the ground? Or unbagged trash in the can? It sounds like you're bagging your trash wrong and deciding it's their fault.

Anyone else have problem with DC DPW (trash, recycling, bulk pickup) workers 'relieving' themselves in the alleys? We see this constantly in Columbia Heights area. We already have issue with people doing this, but somehow it seems unacceptable for city workers to do it.

Though frankly, they do a pretty lousy job in general. They often do not pick up trash bags that are adjacent to trash cans, or smaller dumped trash. This just allows the rat population to thrive.
