After the one club told us they were interested in a merger as long as one person didn't remain with Mclean, we did what we do best: we strung them along, said what they wanted to hear, feigned interest, then ripped the rug out from under them and signed up with the other one.
People want to know why. Obviously, it was because we were completely satisfied with our own player pool, and we just felt like it was time to offer the SYC children a slice of our glorious pie.
Just kidding.
Because we know we don't have the players and we know SYC's kids can help us.
What about your kid , you ask? As long as he or she is on the top team, he or she will be just fine...unless he or she is on the bottom half of the top team; in that case, he or she will have to live with the knowledge that we will be looking to replace him or her at every opportunity.
If your kid isn't on the top team, we will do what we do best: we will string you along, say what you want to hear, feign interest, then rip the rug out from under you.
So, this is a good deal ... for us.
What did you expect us to do? Develop our own players?

Funny though how bottom half kids often become starters as they get older. That's why teams who treat kids/families with disrespect don't always get it right.
McLean for sure is not the only club to tell people what they want to hear or string them along either.
I tell mysel Im beautiful every night before I go to sleep
