I like the interior of our 8-yo Pathfinder but the car has been a mechanical nightmare, plus random body parts have failed like the roof weatherstripping flying off on the highway, door handles become suddenly inoperable, sun visors won't stay up anymore, automatic trunk hatch comes down on your head immediately after it opens, ...I could go on and on.

Best thing about Nissans are that you can get a pretty good discount when buying.

Then you pay back with repair costs after you buy the car.

THIS. Their transmissions are trash. You'll be lucky if they last 60k miles.

That is true. I drove one of the Nissan sedans, I was broke then, but needed a car so...go with the cheap right? Anyway, during a test drive, the brand new car doesn't shift properly, starts staggering after a stop sign, and screeches after.
Brand new car.
They tried to tell me it is normal. I said, great for you, no thanks for me.

It's so cheap and ugly on the inside, though, and I did not enjoy driving it.

Nissans are cheaper than other Japanese cars but it's not known for reliability. I have a Pathfinder and it's been never ending repairs of small and large. I really didn't want to know my mechanic first name basis

Have gotten these as rental for road trips a few times. Was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Now I ask if the rental company has one. If I was in the market for an SUV, this would be very tempting.

3rd row? The one I test drove didn’t have a 3rd row option.

No. Nissan is about to go out of business. Their cars are terrible.

If you need to finance 125% of the purchase price, Nissans are great cars, otherwise there are better alternatives

Haven’t seen any newer models with this third row

I’ve loved mine. I got it for the theirs row but it has been a wonderful and reliable car.

I just test drove one and really liked it for the price. It had a lot of nice features but it was too small for us (husband 6’5” and the back seat was a bit smaller than we wanted). The other concern was the smaller engine.

I see a lot on the roads, are these good family cars? Do they need a lot of maintenance? Big enough for two kids and my husband occasionally
