This is not “a bunch of women chatting about a man peeing.” It’s noticing a difference in the health of their partner. Perhaps you are in your twenties and unaccustomed to this?

He’s 49 and fit. Is this normal?

You are a cruel person. OP is clearly a loving, caring spouse!

Bumping this. I have also noticed this just in the past three months. How would you address? PCA is female and no way will DH do a prostate exam with a female. Any good recommendations for doctors in NVa?

I completely disagree. I think OP sounds like a loving spouse who knows her husband well. When you care about someone you pay attention even when you are not purposely paying attention.

+1. What’s wrong with you, earlier PP? Do you have no clue what it’s like to love your spouse and want them to stay healthy?

I think wake up pee is like that for men. Was it first-wake pee?

What is his race? If he’s black, he should definitely get it checked out for prostate cancer. Regardless I would ask his doctor.

Was it because you were watching him?

How is the stream strength?

Somewhere around 1/5 to 1/4 of men at 50 years old have benign prostatic hypertrophy, which would be the most common reason. There are other reasons (including serious ones that need to be addressed), so if this is his norm, he should discuss with his own physician.
