Would you consider loosening this rule a little for house-discussion threads? Often times the subject line gives all the context needed, like with a recently removed thread with the title "What do you think this house will sell for?" It was pretty clear to me from that heading (and the redfin link) what that link pointed to, and what the topic of discussion would be.
I understand that spam-bots like to post bare links, so banning posts that contain nothing but links is probably a way to fight that. And it's easy enough for people to add a little bit more to a post than just the bare link. But IMO, the kinds of links that are usually posted in this forum don't really create that much of a "should I click on the link or not?" issue.
