We bought the sienna xle because we trust the brand more (though i understand that US cars are now basically equivaleent to Japanese). Very happy with it so far.

The $7500 tax credit would have been attractive but with high HHI I was worried we might not qualify for it (but I just googled it and it looks like we would have).

We have only street parking so couldn't really use the plug-in feature.

We are very happy with the xle (replaces a honda sedan) and the XLE is a pretty basic model but includes keyless entry, carplay, and foot motion back door opening (more of a gimmick than useful so far)...

People are reporting getting ~$40k for their used Pacificas (Which is nuts and kind of makes me want to turn mine in and just get a new one).

AWD isn't an option. I don't need it but if it was an option I would get it because I used to drive an SUV and felt safer with AWD.

I've gotten one oil change and had a chrysler recall (took a couple hours to fix in one day). No other maintenance .

Why so much? With the tax credit, doesn't it make more sense to by new if you're going to spend that much??

I drove a 2012 Sienna for 6 years and traded it 2 years ago for an SUV.

I miss the convenience of the minivan, and am looking to trade the for another van. Currently debating between the Sienna and the hybrid Pacifica.

First choice was Sienna. Went to test drive -- but 6'5" DH can't sit upright in the front seats. (He fit comfortably in the 2012.) Toyota raised the floor to accommodate the battery and reduced the headroom by 3-5 inches, so it's a no-go for me.

Liked the Chrysler much more than I expected -- they're a lot nicer than the last model!

Same as you, but I've found Uconnect to be an excellent platform/tool. Much better system than what is offered by Toyota and Ford.

mine always gets the same glitch with the entertainment system - which i would not have gotten if it hadn't come with the model with the other features that I wanted. Next car, I am ordering exactly what i want from the dealer.

Toyota should be more reliable. But I would avoid the first model year. Also, PHEV is much better than hybrid if your daily commute is less than 30 miles.

Wow I didn't know about the $7500 tax credit. Thanks!

We recently got the Pacifica hybrid. If Toyota made a plug-in we'd have gotten that, because they are the most reliable cars. But so far very happy - I've filled gas twice in 4 months. I love that my around town driving is all done on electric mode. Is is the only electric option for minivans so your choice is really electric vs. gas. The tax credit is a huge bonus, so the Chrysler is way cheaper. We got the extended warranty for peace of mind.

Has anyone recently decided between the hybrid Sienna and electric/hybrid Pacifica? If so, what are the pros and cons? I’m not looking to debate other cars.
