They do send out the assigned Advisor sometime in August just to know you a bit more and answer any questions/ concerns you may have.

Hmm. Thanks for the info. That was my main concern with going to the school, as I wanted to go to aet, but was waited?i had wanted to go into more of an engineering field.

Also, quick question if you see this, did they send someone to your house to see if your kids were “mentally prepared”?

If you don’t want to go into a stem field I’m not sure the rigor will be worth it for you. My students who go there work really, REALLY hard, often feeling pressure to put AOS work ahead of “regular” classes at school.

Or rather, how does it compare to the middle school course work?

Hello! I recently got accepted to the Loudoun Academy of Science (AOS), and I was wondering, how does the math and science work compare to the math and science work at a normal high school?

Do I really want to attend AOS? I am not sure I want ti go into a science field.....is it worth it for me to attend? I have also never particularly cared for science.

How hard would the school be for me? I am currently averaging an A- in physical science, with little effort, and an A- in Geometry with lots of effort.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
Any other details about the school are appreciated!
