Dr. Homa Ahmadzia is an MFM at GW and does c sections for high risk patients

Had a suspected acreta. The MFM took care of me during the pregnancy. During delivery the MFM was present but the OB who was there commanded the operating room. I am pretty sure the MFM was assisting. The OB was calling for the blood and extra medications and checking on me. I think a general OBGYN may operate more.

Maybe this is a regional thing? Here on the west coast, my ob refused to have me as a patient and the only choice was an MFM who is doing the c-section delivery. Didn’t realize MFMs didn’t do deliveries elsewhere.

There are only a few MFK groups around here. Perinatal Associates does deliveries. I don’t know that any of the others will.

Perinatal Associates. Awesome practice. I had one c-section with them and one with a regular OB group. Amazing difference. Definitely use them.

Not sure that’s a thing. I had gestational hypertension and met with an MFM several times and then it turned into HELLP and the MFM was in and out of my room all day but it was still the on-call OB who did my c section. (This was Georgetown.)
