It tastes like something bought at Costco.

It is great. Everyone in my family loves it,

BUT, you need to take a really, really thin slice to enjoy it. It is very rich and somewhat sweet. A lot goes a long way. Very satisfying with dark coffee.

The people who like this love extremely sweet things. I felt sick after eating it, I think it's the sweetest cake they have. As for tres leches, I prefer the round ones they had before. The square has a totally different cake and quite soggy.

I like most store brand things at Costco, but I don’t like any of their desserts. Too sweet.

We like the dulce de leche tres leches cake better.
And I like the costco cheeseback better than most restaurant cheesecakes. It's nice with some berries. I'm not a huge cheesecake person though. I think the costco one is lighter and creamier than your standard NY style.

Is dulce de leche less sweet than the chocolate mousse ?

I have yet to have a dessert from the Costco bakery that is worth the calories.

When I'm totally stressed (I'm post menopausal so no PMS) or needs something last minute to take to the office, I'll grab one. But, it's not 'good' cake - nothing like you'd get at Heidelburg Cafe or Victoria's Cakery. But, if I were getting something special for teenagers, it's excellent value.

It's good, but it is rich. I like it better than regular boring chocolate cake.

The Costco strawberry cake is better. I don't like mushy cakes though.
