I’m the one who originally suggested greenfieldpuppies. I’m sure there are good and bad actors on that site. But the family I’m suggesting invited us to their farm to check things out, which I really appreciated. We met some of their kids, saw another (happy, healthy) litter. I then waited for the litter I wanted am happy with the healthy, socialized puppy we got. I’m not sure where the line is that makes someone a puppy mill, but they’re farmers and this is their business. The dogs have good living conditions. I don’t have any ethical concerns, but I was never going to adopt from a shelter so I get that I’m immediately not on the same page as some dog owners. Just some extra info for the OP.

Also a puppy mill. Thousands of dollars for dogs that are churned out for profit.

So, anyone who brEeds dogs for sale is a “puppy mill?” Got it.

Also, I get why people don’t want to go to a rescue so they can get a “lab mix” that’s really a pit bull (not to mention dealing with the crazies that generally run the rescues).

Also a puppy mill. “Pedigrees are a secret”. “We don’t want you distracted by meeting the mom”. Nothing about health clearances. If there isn’t a waitlist but it’s luck then she certainly isn’t interviewing in any meaningful way since her pool of buyers is whomever contacts her at the right time.

Run far away.

And whomever has 7k for a puppy. First come, first served with cash.

I love how these ads for puppy mills are allowed to stay up but posts advocating against animal abuse are removed.

If you’re looking for a mixed breed dog anyway, don’t pay purebred breeder prices. Go to a shelter.

The Stoltzfus family in Lancaster County? Puppy mill.

Says they have over 300 breeds available across 30 states. They’re not the breeders- more like the vendors. Seems like it would be pretty hard to keep close tabs on the ethics of that many breeders.

Greenfield Puppies is a puppy mill. I would Google "amish puppy mills" before you decide to use this website.

Can anyone recommend a cavapoo breeder? Just starting my search and not having much luck. Ideally under $3000 and available by the end of 2021. Any advice or resources would be very helpful. Thank you!
