I’d rather buy a ten year old Outback 3.6R and do a suspension lift and even bigger tires for 10.5” GC, and then add a mild turbocharger. Figure 300ish HP and 330 or so lb/ft. I wouldn’t go any higher than that because the trans probably couldn’t take it.

You could build a car like that for 1/2, maybe even 1/3 the price of this new model.

I won't buy another Subaru until they have a hybrid Outback. They're the only big car company that doesn't have a selection of hybrid vehicles. It's ridiculous. I'll believe it when I see it. Every year they push the date later and later.
