OP, are you in Maryland? If so, have your DD look at St. Mary's College of Maryland. It's a small, public liberal arts college with many devoted alum.

SEC schools other than Vandy, UF and UGA; CTCL schools; Jesuit schools other than Georgetown and BC; High Point U, the life skillz university.

Don't waste your money on CTCL schools.

Please say more. Do you have children attending any of these schools?

The biggest question will be whether you can pay for private or OOS college in full. If yes, your DC will have tons of options.

If not, make sure she has some in-state publics that are safeties for a student like DC on the list. If you're in Maryland, UMBC, Salisbury, maybe St. Mary's. In Virginia, Longwood, ODU, Radford, Mary Washington. JMU, GMU, VCU, and CNU would not be safeties.

The entering classes at some of these 2nd tier schools are going to be truly phenomenal as a result of this weird admissions season.

Yes. She will be fine. I had a very similar student and she had a lot of success in this admission year. I feel like I worried a lot for kind of nothing.
