A random person? How are you getting nannies? Who is doing the background check? What’s your pool size and how well do you represent niche nannies (sn, ncs, live-in, governess/tutor/homeschool)?
Some agencies provide first aid/cpr, and some provide training, so that all of their represented nannies have a minimum baseline childcare education.
As far as I know, an agency ticks most of all of the above boxes (at least for one niche). Most random people don’t have a decent pool, so their recommendations are going to be personal experience, friends and/or unverified hearsay (your friend’s nanny says this nanny is good; it’s au substantiated recommendation from another nanny).
If you want to start an agency, do it. If not, don’t expect anyone to pay for a service that isn’t worth it.
