Make sure that you’re registered everywhere that you can be registered. There are pharmacies, income those at grocery stores, that have separate registration processes. There are hospitals- like Adventist — that take people from anywhere in the Metro region, so make sure that you’re on their lists.

Also, DC giving certain zip codes priority treatment is not working, because the gentrified neighborhoods of those zip codes are now well ahead of the non-gentrified neighborhoods in those zip codes. If DC really cared about equity, it would start bringing the vaccine to the people who need it, not letting gentrifiers in certain zip codes take all the vaccine. The targeted areas need to be narrowed down or else the equity issue (and the overall efficiency issue) is going to get much, much worse:

If you think it's bad now, wait until May 1 when the feds are forcing DC to open things up to everyone (it's the federal deadline for doing so, and DC will be the last jurisdiction in the country to wait until May 1).

DC wanted to have 70 percent of its seniors fully vaccinated by March 1. It's now nearly April 1 and we're nowhere near that.

I am a patient there, yes. Not sure if that is a requirement still or not. Check out the sites. If it is still required, might be worth a quick telehealth appt with a np to get in system. Or maybe DC will come through soon. It’s frustrating I know my dh is waiting too.

It looks like, if you are eligible, you can register for a vaccine at M&T stadium in Baltimore easily. Apparently there are so many open slots there that they are not filled and they are looking for people to fill them.

Great - more vaccines for everyone

Many of us (myself included) criticized Mayor Muriel Bowser and her team for prioritizing non-residents over residents and having too many vaccines in storage when they should be in peoples' arms.

I am grateful that after this criticism was expressed, she changed course. Now, we are moving up in national rankings of states in percentage of the populace vaccinated and in percentage of the vaccine distributed.
