We had excellent experiences with therapy for 3 family members pre-COVID for the treatment of anxiety. I’m not sure if any of those providers are still there. We saw Greta Hirsch, Avy Stock and Stacy Coyle. I’m sad to hear it’s gone downhill. DD who is now an adult did have a psychiatry appointment there in 2022 and it was a poor experience. The psychiatrist misdiagnosed her during intake and she never returned. Fortunately, I have enough knowledge to have quickly recognized the error and we didn’t fill the prescription. We did our due diligence and mentioned this diagnosis to both her original psychiatrist and therapist who’d seen her for years and both agreed it was way off base. As far as policies, it’s not unusual to require a credit card on file. DD’s providers require this and so does the large practice that I’m employed with.

We had a really good experience there in 2023 (depression, anxiety) - doctor was very responsive, professional, thoughtful and the admin staff were quick to respond.

Any more recent reviews on the Ross Center? It appears dreadful. Has it improved at all?

Do NOT use the Ross Center. It was the worst, most invalidating experience of my life. I’ve had many different therapists, but none as bad as the one I had here. Ended up spending 1000 dollars on the shittiest, stupidest, most incorrect diagnosis you can imagine. This place is a disgrace.

I had a very different experience at The Ross Center. The therapist and psychiatrist were amazing and collaborated regularly. It was the first time that I've received quality care after many years of ineffective therapy. The price is worth it when you engage in the treatment and feel better. I definitely recommend The Ross Center!

I would also love more feedback as I did not get a warm and fuzzy feel.

Extremely bureaucratic and seems primarily focused on collecting money

We recently started-not impressed.

Took my son there. Was not thrilled. Therapist was very nice but just not the right person for him: treated him too much like a kid. He would have responded better to someone who dealt with him differently I think. They did have a lot of rules/admin stuff and were quite expensive. Would not have minded if it was the right fit.

They were phoning it in for me. I wouldn't have cared about the procedures if I felt I was getting good care.

Our doctor is very good at the medicine side but not very tuned in to the family dynamic.

The admin/financial side is a little bit like a hostage taking experience with a smile. No appointment without card on file, never provide a bill before payment, never provide a receipt after unless prompted, won’t fill prescriptions for more than a month at a time and pressure to meet every month on the dot in order to get your Rx.

I mean I know a clinic has to make money. but for a private pay place, there’s not a lot of service beyond running your credit card and writing a prescription.

I also thought it was expensive and the intake process was cumbersome so we never made it to the therapist.

I thought they were overly expensive and difficult to schedule but had no issue with their general procedures. This was about 5 years ago.

I recently tried to book an appointment here for some generalized anxiety (believe I even read about it on DCUM) but was very turned out by the excessive intake process, a rigid billing process and ten zillion other procedures. Several yelp reviews seem to echo this concern. Has anyone had any direct experience with them?
