Nothing, let them play. So silly to bring anything.

this. makes it so much easier going forward if there's not a lavish snack expectation at every frigging get-together. one dim silver lining of covid.

Kids do not need a snack available every second of the day, and they certainly don't need a continental breakfast spread. If I were feeling generous, I might bring coffee for the adults. Otherwise, just some water, wet wipes, and masks.

Why is anyone bringing group snacks for a first grade play date? Especially during covid I wouldn’t want to set the expectation that people are going to spend a lot of time with masks off and eating

Clementines and apple sauce packs.

You don’t need to bring anything, if you’d like to, and since the other mom is bringing donuts, you could bring fruits like bananas or clementines.

The champagne + oj idea ^^^ also rocks.

+1 fruit

I wouldn't do another pastry, but you could do bagels.

Personally, if you brought a box of coffee I would love you forever, which may or may not be what you are looking for.

I would bring some fruit or drinks. I don't see the issue with shared food. I see the issue with a playdate with 5 kids and parents. There is no evidence shared food/carry out is an issue with covid. Getting together is an issue.

Mask. Hand sanitizer. Water bottle. Ideally your own food, not shared food.

Meeting about 5 or so kids for an outdoor play date in the morning. Boys in the first grade. One mom is bringing donuts. What should I bring?
