Whether that is true or not, it is atrocious survey design to ask about anti-racist initiatives on a survey specifically designed to assess interest in IPL.

I don’t understand why this question is required on a form meant to address IPL.

I received a new reopening survey from Deal today. In addition to the expected question about whether I want to send my child for in person school, it also asks about my opinion on the school's Anti-Bias/Anti-Racist Initiative. Did any other DCPS schools ask about this? This seemed out of left field but maybe I'm not making the connection. The following is a required question for the survey:

The Deal Anti-Bias/Anti-Racist Initiative was created during the summer of 2020 to support Deal families in addressing issues of race, class, and diversity. Please share your level of interest/commitment to participating in the efforts of the Deal ABAR Initiative. *
