The widow's dead husband had an inherited disorder that meant he would almost certainly develop cancer (not skin cancer) and die before age 40. They had a 50-50 chance of passing that disorder on, but chose to have 7 children, 3 of whom have it.

WTF!!! No wonder they haven't shared that info on the show. Those poor children! Read that there is a 13% chance for glioblastoma and an almost 100% chance the women will get breast cancer, most likely before they are 40. insane to keep having kids knowing this. and it seems they knew before they even STARTED having kids.

Anonymous wrote:Is anyone watching this? Show about a widow/widower who married one another very quickly (~1-2 years?) after their respective spouses passed and have a combined 11 children (7 for her, 4 for him). Just saw the first episode and it makes me so uncomfortable - the children (particularly the woman's older ones) seem so unhappy and resentful being pushed into this combined family. The house seems chaotic and I feel for the children who are still mourning their lost mom/dad. Anyone else?
