Absolutely not. If someone looks interesting - sure. But I’m not fawning over anyone - I might feel like that inwardly because someone is very accomplished at something I aspire to or just an exceptional human being, but never over looks.

No. I’ve always been the attractive one people fawn over and it’s so gross.

I prefer to spend my time with people who have more interesting things to say than just “omg you’re so pretty!” And my bf knows that for every compliment he gives me on how I look, I need at least 5 on my personality/intelligence/accomplishments.

Age? Married? Are you M or F?

I'm male and married. I'm not saying I want to have sex with them. But, sure, I appreciate being around hot people of either sex, just like I appreciate being in beautiful locales and nice houses. Who doesn't?

I also like self-confident people, and most really good looking people are self-confident. Do you think it's an accident that the best looking players in the NFL are the quarterbacks?

Oh no, I’m sorry, but the best looking men in the NFL are wide receivers. Also the best butts.

FWIW, mostly everyone is well out together, well groomed, in decent shape, stylish. This is an upper class area. This particular person just has the look of someone who was the popular cheerleader in HS. Bleach blonde, gets some minor treatments done, in shape... the stereotypical popular girl. There are just as attractive people that don’t get fawned over for their looks but they might not be so “obvious” if that makes sense. And there are also women who are more beautiful, but again, not as obvious. I just noticed the fawning over the stereotypical look. We are in our late 30’s-40’s so I find this odd to be honest. I wouldn’t favor someone just due to their looks.

No fawning but usually can't help staring at them!

Hmm. OTOH, I don't think I'm like this. My friends are mostly regular- looking people.

OTOH, isn't everyone like this, but what differs is what we find "attractive"? I certainly find myself wanting to be friends with people I find *appealing*, but what I find appealing in a person might not equate to conventional beauty.

Yes, but "fawn over". Blech. No.

Of course not - who the hell would be so shallow? Just because someone looks pretty on the outside doesn't mean they're pretty on the inside!

I don't want to hang around cruel people, or people screwing up their lives, or people who rest on the their superficial assets.

DP. Human nature?

Ex.-
Heidi Klum and Seal for press back in the day because of the dichotomy of contemporary beauty as it was defined then.

I’ve noticed this in our elementary school year. People try really hard to be friends with this one woman who is blonde and in good shape. She’s nice but no nicer than anyone else but people literally fawn over her.

Do you find yourself wanting to be friends or in the same circle with someone because they are physically attractive? Not based on personality really, just looks. Assuming you are in your 30’s.
