It won’t. But in some cases, male factor can be solved for through IUIs (like speed count and maybe motility) and that’s a cheaper option to try in the interim if you do decide to wait for open enrollment season in the fall. My dh had morphology issues so we did ivf with icsi.

His insurance won't cover your IVF, just like it won't cover your going to labor of HIS CHILD.

Waiting for Nov open season is an option if you are younger than 35.

We just found out DH has male factor infertility and so we need to do IVF.
I have insurance through my job that does NOT cover IVF, and he has separate insurance through his job that DOES cover IVF. (we did it this way based on monthly premium...if only we would have known we'd need IVF...)

Will his insurance cover the IVF treatment because it's necessary due to his male factor, even though I am the one going through the procedures and need the meds? We will call them tomorrow, but if anyone knows please let me know.
