FYI you can usually get Tsukihoshi shoes for under $30 from 6pm.com. Zulily occasionally sells them too

Venture out to the Stride Rite store in Wheaton. It’s worth the trip. It’s locally owned and they sell all brands including See Kai Run. The owner has been in the business for awhile and they do a good job measuring feet and you can probably find less expensive shoes than what your child is currently wearing.

My very wide footed teen was a very wide footed toddler. She wore new balance, stride rite, Tsuhkioshi, and jumping jacks mostly. Her feet were to wide for see Kai run, and while crocs are definitely wide enough they have absolutely no support for a toddler. I would not recommend using them as a main shoe.

I’m the person who posted the crocs initially and seconding that we also have had success with keens but since discovering how effective the crocs are I doubt we’ll use the keens much because my son happily hikes and does creek play just as effectively in his crocs and they are way easier. But keens definitely work

Oh one more - Lands' End for the winter, but the soles are a bit slippery.

Old Soles - an Australian brand you can get at Off Fifth and Nordstrom Rack. Search around. My DD has extra wide feet and they work because most styles open all the way and allow her foot to get in. Reasonably priced. Well made. My DD and DS with wide feet both love them.

I like Stride Rite XW, but found some styles (sandals) still didn't fit her.

For winter, someone on here recommended Tundra Wide boots - and I have been thrilled. Also Emu zip up shoes for winter seem wide and sturdy.

Pedi Ped - some styles work and they are super flexible soles so find one that opens all the way. (I have two kids with very wide feet so very familiar. Much easier for my other normal width footed child!) I keep seeing ads for Ten Little but haven't tried yet.

Oh and keens in the summer - not winning any fashion contests but they work and they are wide and easy to get into.

Finally, Clarks - if you can find them - make XW shoes. Buy a half size up.

+1 He's not going to win any fashion contests, but my wide-footed DS loves his crocs! I'm surprised how sturdy they are, he can run around and play for hours in them and they are so easy to get clean if they get gross. For more sneaker-type shoes I just discovered Bogs, which is mostly rain/snow boots but they have a few styles of velcro sneakers that have worked well for DS.

My son also almost exclusively wore see kai run due to wide feet as a toddler until we discovered crocs. Natives never worked for him, but our number one shoe now is crocs - just the regular standard ones. They are wide, he could get them on himself at a pretty young age, work for outdoor play, water play, add socks (I know really cool! haha) and they work well into fall until winter really sets in. They are just so versatile. Light, easy for him to climb things etc. and when they get dirty you can just hose them off.

Stride Rite makes wide widths - they have W and XW available in lots of styles.

DD is a little over 2, and still has very wide chubby feet, so most standard toddler shoes don't fit well. Looking for BRAND recommendations that run wider.
