BUT you can park at the county beach right outside the gates and access the beach there. There’s a small fee for parking and it often fills to capacity at which point you’ll be turned away.

Yes, adults are fully vaccinated.

I asked because you will not be able to be picky. Have a place on HHI and even last week people were showing up to find zero hotel rooms available and were shocked. We went to Costco in Charleston and downtown was packed.

I posted here last week about travelling to HHI—turns out there was very little left that wasn’t booked at our preferred places.

All of those are good. Also consider Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. At this point, you might not be able to be choosy about where you go -- I booked our spring break on Kiawah in December and things were pretty booked back then...

Wild dunes was fully booked for spring break the last time I checked, so was the entire Isle of Palms.

We love Folly Beach but have only been there in the summer - not sure what the spring break crowd is like. In the summer it’s been very relaxed and family friendly, and it’s easy to pop into Charleston for the day.

It's always such a pleasure when the basement dwelling crowd tries to contribute to the travel forum.

OP, look at the Isle of Palms, near Charleston, specifically Wild Dunes Resort. It's perfect for your family.

Hubby, teen daughter and I thinking Springbreak road trip for good food in Charleston and relax beaches. The other thought is Hilton Head but heard of Folly Beach, Kiawah island and Sea Brook island. Any suggestions?
