Also you should realize that many families are engaging in activities with an equal or greater risk of Covid spread compared to airplane travel on a daily basis (sports, indoor play dates, extended family get togethers, indoor dining, etc) so worrying so much about spring break travel is kind of silly.

Luckily even our crazy district (not in VA) said they couldn’t require it! Finally the madness is starting to subside.

No. I am vaccinated and my kids and I will go visit my vaccinated mom who is a short drive away. We are complying with CDC guidance even though we are technically traveling. I will raise hell if we are asked to quarantine after this. There is no scientific basis for this.

No my daughter is so excited to be back in school. And we're getting into a routine. Why interrupt that? I think if parents want to keep their child home for two weeks they should be given the option. But that should not be forced on all of us.

No. This is why the kids are sitting so far apart and wearing masks.

If they classes were full with normal spacing I could maybe see the argument for DL, but not with the current mitigation in place.

We have already missed SO much school. My family is not traveling for spring break. My kids should not have to miss another two weeks of school.

FCPS HS Teacher here (with MS and HS aged kids). I think it is safe in schools, so I do not think all schools should switch to DL after Spring Break.

There will be an increase of COVID cases after Spring Break, and I don't think it will be safe for us to be back at school. So should School be DL after Spring Break for at least 2 weeks?
