Subject: What can you tell me about living in Alameda?
My coworker lives there, as does a friend. They're both happy. One has a kid who is 4 and the coworker's kids are early elementary. He has a boat.
It's not Piedmont, but it's close.

Would love to hear from people who have lived in Alameda with kids. Info on schools, safety, how welcoming the community is to outsiders, random tips or suggestions etc. Anything really!
