Yep. Could it be a spice rack instead?

You could display quilts or linens on it. Maybe painted black. It could be used as a towel rack in a bathroom, though it might not last all that long if it gets wet. You could hang it in a pantry and put cookbooks in it.

Honestly, I usually have about 5-6 books going at a time, plus writing several stories and this would be the perfect solution in my bedroom to keep track of all those books/journals. Maybe slightly juvenile but god it looks useful. Paint it the same color as your walls?

I could imagine some more creative uses maybe for magazines, picture frames, albums, etc. but only fairly specific uses (thin flat stuff).

I feel like this type of bookshelf is exclusively used for kids, right? Like, it would be weird to have that display books in your living room if you have teens.

Thoughts?
