They let in almost everyone. I wouldn't worry about it. What I would worry about is the quality of FCPS education and what next year will look like. I wouldn't be surprised if Mondays are gone forever.

The neighbor’s kid is an all rounder! Those kids SHOULD be in AAP! Not to say yours should not, but to me, I would prefer a well rounded kid who does it all even if they had a lower score, vs. only studying. I wish the committee looked at it that way, but no clue what they look at.

Neighbor's kid is probably bored out of his mind at school and is thus completely unengaged. He needs a gifted program much more than your bright, hardworking kid, who would thrive anywhere.

You realize you’re talking about 1st graders, right? 132 should put your kid in pool for consideration and then all the other pieces are taken into consideration. GBRS is weighed pretty heavily.
