+ 1, I wouldn’t hold my breath on an April 6 return for the older grades, but still an encouraging step forward!

Assuming that many families did not choose in person and they have the space for those who want to come back.


The latest stats I saw were that 80% of FCCPS families selected hybrid (although I can’t recall if that was elementary school only or district wide). Anecdotally I know all but 2 students from my child’s class opted for hybrid.

You miss the part that kids can get covid and transmit it to others, including their families. It absolutely is a necessity. Stop giving bad advice to justify or push your agenda.

That sounds irresponsible. Way to put the kids and families health and safety at risk. Good luck with that. Great for other jurisdictions to see how it goes. Enjoy covid.

Let’s wait and hear their plan for lunch. Many parents are not vaccinated and the older students can spread this like adults.

If students currently in hybrid all come at once, I do not have room in my classroom to keep them 6 feet apart. Teachers were given this same information today and we do not know if they have a plan yet. We will hopefully hear more information soon regarding school schedules and mitigation.

My kids are so excited! I’m definitely happy and thankful that they are prioritizing in person education, but of course with reservations. Looking forward to hearing the mitigation plan.
