Last year, it seemed like you needed at least 2 CO and 2 FO to be accepted. Most kids had 3CO. But this year is totally different. The parent questionnaire and work samples from home might be more important.

The review of AAP found that the NNAT had hardly any weight in admissions but it isthe only test this year.

High NNAT but not through the roof.

Applicant only had one Consistently Observed and 3 Frequently Observed?

Does this applicant have a chance for 3rd Grade AAP or should I not hold my breath?

How high is high? If 94% and under, forget about it.

Yeah, under that. Over 80% but well under 90%

My kids were probably with lower NNAT but they had much higher Cogat. Chalk it up to a weird year & try to have more test data in future years. Or just don’t worry about it. AAP isn’t the end all be all.

If in pool on NNAT as opposed to parent referral I say decent chance. Hard for me to guess with the unusual way it is this year.

Fwiw - I have two kids in Aap and one in K & I just think the program / fcps is changing and that the program may not exist in the current form by the time my youngest is old enough.

I’m sorry. I’m the one you asked you the question above what you thought. Even with a high GBRS, you don’t have anything else in your file to substantiate admission and that alone would have made it difficult. I really am sorry. I know it’s tough.

What are the eval categories in the GBRS?

Requested the application from our school's AART.

I'd say this applicant is less likely to get in given the GBRS. I think you need at least 2 Consistently Observed.
