Normcore was actually a thing. Those pervy wire rimmed glasses that people were wearing, SAS style grandma wedges (only obscure German brands), hideous jeans. I knew a woman who wore it and just felt bad for her until I realized she was dressing that way on purpose.

I love it and I wish I was younger so I could wear prairie dresses. I"m 48 and I'd love to trade these fashion trends for those dark days of the early 2000s when you could only buy shirts that were midriff-baring.

Yea, unfortunately. I'm 44 and when I was in high school, it was all about grunge -- oversized, cut up, army drab and black everything, so I'm not judging. the new look is like little house on the prairie meets sister wives. Which could be cool... with docs or with army navy surplus

Ok then it's not just me. I desperately need new clothes and cannot find much at all that I like...

Mine is clunking around in doc martens!

No idea if that is popular or trendy right now but at 17, they can wear something ugly like doc martens, and still look young and beautiful.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm 37. I get that my taste will not be the same as a teenager, but I don't understand a lot of the trends right now because they are SO unflattering. Baggy, high-waisted things that give you a flat ass look, nasty colors, ruffles.

Based on my teen daughter, yes. The more mommish the jeans the better.
