Yes, very basic childhood development classes are offered primarily online for daycare teachers. It’s like 16 credits in most community colleges. Check online or regular universities for BA and MA programs.

This question is really better directed at a career counselor. You could also look at the kind of job you want to do, look up people doing that job on LinkedIn, and look up what their educational background is. You could also look at job postings and see what the educational requirements are.


Not looking for this as a job, just as a way to understand and raise DC better. Maybe I will use it in 10 years when I’m done having kids and they are all school age but just looking to enrich my mind and understanding of them now.

I’ve been reading about child development and find the topic fascinating. Are there any good online resources or online courses where I can be qualified in this? How long does it take to be certified?
